First impression: Quality that convinces
With its 2021 "The Statement" collection, Benett Goalkeeping, as the name suggests, is making a clear statement against superfluous pseudo-technologies. According to the manufacturer, the goalkeeper gloves in the new collection focus on the essentials and forgo meaningless marketing jargon. Our first impression fully confirms this: the model appears extremely high-quality, is impeccably crafted, and demonstrates a very high standard of quality. A promising start for this professional goalkeeper glove.
Fit: Close-fitting and flexible
The Benett "the Statement" goalkeeper glove fits snugly, providing a direct feel for the ball. Opening and closing the fist offers no resistance, allowing the hand to remain extremely flexible. Despite this high flexibility, the glove provides excellent protection. This combination, according to the Austrian manufacturer Benett Goalkeeping, has been a key focus for years and is perfectly executed in this model.
Craftsmanship: Perfection down to the last detail
The workmanship – especially the seams and cuts – on this model is among the cleanest and most perfect we have ever seen on a goalkeeper glove. It seems that Bennett placed particular emphasis on precision and durability during production. An absolutely top-notch result that underlines the manufacturer's high-quality philosophy.
Cut / Glove Cut: The groundbreaking C1 - PRO NC Cut
Years ago, Benett Goalkeeping was the first manufacturer to significantly improve the standard negative cut. An almost two-year development phase resulted in an inner seam cut that fits snugly while guaranteeing high latex contact with the ball. The C1 - PRO NC Cut, as Benett calls it, has been among the best negative cuts on the market for years. And after our intensive testing, we can only confirm this! The interplay of the high-quality adhesive foam and the gussets (also made of latex in this case) ensures excellent grip and exceptionally high latex contact with the ball.
Bandage / Slip-on: Secure hold and easy entry
The wristband of "the Statement" is fully elastic and wraps once around the wrist, ensuring optimal fixation of the glove. The opening is intentionally snug but features elastic inserts, allowing for easy entry into the glove. A practical pull-loop on the inside of the glove further facilitates donning.
Glove body / Material: Breathable Airprene 2.0
The model features the very high-quality Airprene 2.0 body material. It feels pleasant and thin, which, combined with the 4mm thick grip foam, was an excellent choice. This material combination ensures good ventilation and a comfortable feel without compromising stability.
Adhesive foam: Convincing "Aqua-Dots" grip
